I believe the guys face-to-face showdown with MV happened in December and it was all done and dusted by the turn of the year, once all the final legalities were sorted out. I'm not sure why they went public and released their resignation letters now (although I suppose they had to do it sometime). I'm inclined to think MV's statement the previous day that they would be making a Casting Call announcement most likely prompted the timing. Maybe they wanted to get in first with their own declarations or maybe it was all part of an agreed timetable with MV, who knows? It's a moot point anyway now.
MV's Casting Call announcement was (unusually) released only in the Thai language but here's an approximation of what it said:
"Popular Series 2Moons3 is coming!
Announcing an audition search for new performers for 2Moons3, a joint venture of Handsome International Entertainment and Simply Joy Culture Development Co Ltd. It will be produced by Handsome Entertainment (Thailand) Co Ltd and Motive Village Co Ltd to build on the success of the success of seasons 1-2. We are ready to start the relationship story of a new couple to create a happy and funny story.
The first season of the series met with viewers in 2017 and after the broadcast received good feedback from the fans. After the series aired the popularity of the performers soared and the fan meeting received an even better response.
Series 2Moons3 should be filmed at the end of April. Season 3 is also the conclusion of the main couple in the series of the past. The story will clear some things held in the hearts of the fans. Also Season 3 has a new couple with a new story to create good surprises and memories. An audition to find new performers is currently under preparation. Auditioned actors who will star in 2Moons3 will have the chance to work with the Chinese team."
For some reason I'm getting the impression Green won't be playing the part of Suthee in part 3.

I assume the timing of the announcement was probably negotiated. Same with the content of the letter.
The Chinese team? Did Motive Village burned all the remaining good will they have with the Thai industry and need to get resource from out of the country?

Pictures have been getting released over the past couple of weeks from the new open auditions. I've been a bit surprised at just how popular this casting call has been considering all the bad press that still hovers around Motive Village, but I suppose it has to be judged against the fact that many of the guys will see this as their best chance to get a foot in the door to an acting career so who can blame them for giving it a shot. This one caught me by surprise. Since the new series is supposed to be centred around the character of Suthee you would think he would be a shoo-in for the role after having played the part in both 2Moons and 2Moons2. I really don't understand this audition process sometimes. I mean, who makes the actor who has already played a role in previous seasons of a show actually audition for it again? Well, Motive Village obviously! Another question, both 2Moons3 and KinnPorsche are due to shoot their series between April and June (possibly longer). Would Green really be able to film two different shows at the same time? Incidentally, Boat Napat Srinakluan who played Champ in TharnType was in the latest batch of pics too. Like Green, I think he also got through to a recall.

That is so stupid...
Also, I heard they are doing some kind of fan vote thing for who gets the role. Want to bet that it will be overwhelmed by trolls voting for the worst candidate? There is so much hate against MV right now, I wouldn't be surprised. I also hear about fans wanting to vote the worst candidate to "save" their favourite actors from MV. The vote will be a clusterfuck

The neverending saga of Motive Village and the 2 Moons franchise is back to haunt us yet again. Seems like MV have now announced yet another new open audition process! I wonder what happened with the previous one they held back in March? They stopped releasing pictures of successful candidates after the recall stage for that one. Maybe they did do a fan-vote like mizuryuu mentioned and didn't like the outcome? Ho hum...

Oddly, Commetive posted a clip showing the last day of shooting 2Moons2 with English clips today:
I guess it is nice to see the guys again.

So once again I've found myself dredging up this series and company that just won't go away and leave us in peace. According to a new press release by Motive Village, the third series '2 Moons 3 The Ambassador' is expected to be ready for a third or fourth quarter release. Backtracking for a moment, it seems that MV weren't happy with either of the first two casting calls they did and decided to hold a third. This one produced a more satisfactory result (from their point of view) and the new actors - most of them rookies - have now been revealed. Personally, I only recognised one name: Prame Pumipat, but I had to double-check on MDL to see who he was since I didn't recognise him from his photo here. There's no info about who any of the actors will be playing but a separate press release does include the following characters as featuring in the new series: Wayo, Forth, Dr Kit, Dr Beam and Dr Pha. The only name not on the list was Ming, so presumably some of the guys below will be taking over their roles? Green, who played the part of Suthee in the first two series, and who is meant to be the central character in this one, is nowhere to be seen in the new publicity, so I'm assuming he won't be returning to the role. In picture order the new actors are: Eiffel Chris Chen / Toey / Prame Pumipat / Payu Khunnaphat / Danny Bundit Satharit / Mark Vachara / Hue Chasit / Anantadej Sodsee.

We really need to nuke this series (and company) from orbit to make sure. How is it the series just won't die!
Sadly, the reason why these are all rookies is because they are new to the industry so don't know about MV's dirty history. Not to mention them being new make it easy to take advantage of.

Here's the new release sheets for the Director Phanphan and Screenwriter Fluke Teerapat: Nothing was released in English, so Fluke's comments as to why he took on this job is shown below after being deciphered by Google's auto-translator. "Teeraphat Raka Pa Pluke has been contacted to visit the chapter 3. Thoth Kittholthon Sok we are both interested. Both feel quite pressed to accept a job in a series that has a sound like this, plus it's a sequel. We therefore made an appointment to speak with the organizers of this series because this series is a sequel that has been continuously done for quite some time, causing us, as people who refer to the script, have a reasonable concern that we should know How can Tu people be satisfied with the work that is about to come out of Our own new finger. However, running the series will only have a story, it can't be counted. It can be a work in the series if the soldiers go to the audience who follow the work, including the spirit of Help support the whole team and the new main actors of the upcoming series. Be a part of this project as well. We would like to leave the series with everyone too. I hope that when the work is already on air Everyone will be happy with it."

This photo has been doing the rounds today comparing all the actors playing the main group roles in the three series, so I thought I might as well add it here too: Phana • Wayu • Ming • Kit • Forth • Beam

Ok, so here I am reluctantly bringing this thread back to the top of the board again. Motive Village have released the new poster for what they are (thankfully) describing as the conclusion to the 2 Moons story. The series start date will be Monday 10th October and so far the only transmission info is that it will be shown on Amarin TV Ch34. There's no news of an international platform.

That is some really bad editing on the guy in the middle. He is standing in front of everyone, but his elbow somehow goes behind the head of the guy to his left.

Motive Village premiered the first episode of '2 Moons 3' domestically on Amarin TV on the 10th October with an online re-run on WeTV Thailand afterwards, but currently they appear to have no intention of making the series available internationally. If you want to watch it you will need to check out the usual places for a fan-subbed copy. It's not hard to find, with even YouTube having the episodes available (though the quality of both the video and the subs does differ depending on the source.)
Strangely enough, Motive Village are providing episode teasers complete with English subs via their own YT channel. They didn't bother for the first two episodes but here's the teasers for episode 3 and 4:
