Doesn't matter if it's new or not. I still find it creepy.

Ivan and his mother....
Well, from what I've seen she threats Ivan more like a partner than a son in many ways, which for a child is confusing. Especially, since she hasn't given him any information about his father. It is because of the confusing messages she sends him that his reaction when she got a boyfriend was over the top. I think for Ivan what happened between his mother and Pol is a double betrayal because he was starting to view Pol as a friend (and he doesn't have many), so not only did his friend step way over the line, but his mother potentially destroyed with her actions his relationship with Pol as well.
Bruno...
I find his situation very interesting. In that I agree with those who say he wants Pol to ask him to stay. The conundrum is that he doesn't want anyone to know he's leaving for good. My feeling about that is. Bruno is scared shitless because he knows one word from Pol could up end all of his plans. And while he has no guarantees with regard to his boyfriend in Rome, at least he knows that his boyfriend cares about hm and wants to be with him. Whereas, he can never be sure of Pol wants in that way. Yes, Pol wants and likes having sex with him, but he's told Bruno that's all it will ever be.

Season 1 of Merlí is now on Netflix Ah! Makes sense. English subbed upload of the SL on the net will likely be forced to be taken down. One YT channel already had them taken down. *** Two more episodes to go! Like everyone, I am in so much anticipation of tonight's episode. Will Pol finally find out the truth about Bruno and Italy? The show might toy with us even further, and have the reveal be right at the end of the episode, so that we tune in for the finale to see how it plays out. Or, worst case scenario, Pol doesn't find out until the last episode, the week after. I feel like Merli might let 'slip' to Pol about Bruno. That would be sneaky of him though, after his last heart to heart with Bruno. But, I feel like The Calduch knows what's up when it comes to Bruno and Pol. Pol acknowledging Bruno opens up a whole lot of big reveals to the crux of that group's dynamics: - Merli finding out that Pol has been sleeping with his son?! The very same Pol who he gave his mini speech to, about Miriam, and the havoc his penis wrecks on everyone. And, this time, it's his very own son, the sensitive boy who has been in love with Pol forever....that will be a big reveal. - all the classmates (minus, Tania) finding out that Pol also likes to do it with a boy, and has done it multiple times, with Bruno. Pol, in many ways, is the informal 'alpha male' leader of that pack. The machismo and posturing and assumptions that goes with it. If Pol's secret about Bruno is revealed, then, this will get turned on its head. I don't think most will react badly or ostracize Pol, but, the shock will be a big reveal. Given all that....I don't know how likely it is that Pol will acknowledge the reality of Bruno and him, in the, 'fuck it all, let's just find our happiness together' way, by the end of S2. And, I don't know if Bruno is willing to settle for being Pol's 'secret'. So, going to Rome? May be a distinct possibility as we end S2. Maybe he will return in the beginning of S3 with some reason why Rome didn't work out? My personal hope for the end of this storyline, when S3 ends is for Pol and Bruno to acknowledge their love, fully, through dancing together.

Yeah, disaster has struck and Bruno really left. I think David Solans caused it because he has lots of other things to work on. It's always possible that he'll make a return appearance next season, but I wouldn't count on it. I kind of have a feeling Pol and Tania are going to end up together. And it's a double disaster because the Netflix deal has caused TV3 to crack down on all Internet access to the show. We are going to have a hard time even following it going forward.

I don't think so. If they were going to recast the character, there isn't really a need to send him off to Italy...

Damn. Well ... that was a sweet way for Pol to say goodbye. Pol really will miss Bruno. I still feel that there are unresolved feelings between them, and I must admit I'm a bit disappointed that there wasn't a bit more closure on those feelings before Bruno left. Alas.

So, I've been watching season 1 on netflix. One of the actors quit the show? Should I try season 2? Season 2 is a bit less about Bruno, so if he's your fav you can be a little disappointed especially at the first half of the series, but in the end you do get some nice Bruno and Pol scenes and some nice Merli and Bruno interaction. Also you learn a bit more about Oliver.

So Pol basically outs Ivan on his love for Berta, because Ivan can't "dare to tell her, himself, so Pol will tell her, as a favour!"
Projection, much, Pol? You can't speak your own heart, and that angers and frustrates you, especially since you've lost it, and so you now mock another for it.
Face it, you're a coward and not as strong as everyone thinks you are. (He kind of acknowledged that when Joan was complimenting Pol and his 'cold, don't-give-a-fuck, daring' ways, and Pol reminded Joan that it's not all that it's cracked up to be, to be Pol Rubio....it has its collateral damage, being and living like Pol).
Man, oh, man. Pol is on a trajectory of self-destruction. Reminds me of Bruno's S1 storyarch - the struggle to come to terms with himself. This is Pol's push/cow/heifer, too, as much as it is Bruno's: finding himself. Bruno and Pol both need to do it, away from each other's influence. And maybe then they will be ready to be together, having grown in that time. They're both not ready now.
The big question remains: will Pol go towards to path of self-destruction, or will the innate leadership, intelligence, and resourcefulness that is Pol, help him figure out another alternate reality to his life?
His home and work life is back to the pits as it started in S2, and on top of that, his usual channels of sexual releases are now 'off-limits': Miriam, Berta....all because of Ivan. And, to top it all off, another person leaves him (Bruno), and he's still fighting what that means, even though he's going through the pains of heartbreak. That he's in love with Bruno!!! Still fighting admitting that to himself, even though his emotions are all telling him the obvious. You can't control it, Pol. You have to go with the flow, when it comes to heartbreak.
His breakdown with Tania was heartbreaking. His come-on to Tania after, oh boy. I know Pol's modus operandi is to find comfort, affection, through sex, especially when he's in pain or drunk or feeling down, and since all his avenues are now gone (including notably, Bruno), and Tania is actually seeming to give a fuck about him, and is available, she suddenly looks 'appealing', but that would just be all kinds of wrong. Not to mention, if he actually went through with it, a part of his motivation would also be to hurt Bruno back 'for leaving him' - as subconsciously as that gesture may be.
What a complex character, Pol is.
****
As for Bruno and S3, I'm in the 'wait and see' camp. I see the rumours circulating of David Solans leaving, along with La Calduch leaving, on a talk show or something? Any other official statement?
How can we be sure that it isn't for PR's sake since the "Bruno leaving" is basically THE cliffhanger of S2? Has Merli cast never made it seem like something wasn't going to happen, but then it did?
I don't know...I think we'll see Bruno again, even if it might be in the last episode of S3. Way too many things unresolved in terms of storyline, still. Here's hoping....
Until Sept 2017!

I loved RKFanvidder's comments in the episode.
The Wikipedia page for David Solans says he announced he won't be part of season 3. There's no guarantee that's accurate, but it seems likely to me. I don't think we'll be seeing Bruno again until maybe the end of the very final episode in order to help create a bookend to the series. I wouldn't count on even that, though.
A lot of us came up with theories of how straight Pol can be in a relationship with gay Bruno, but was it always just wishful thinking? How realistic was it actually? Even if they did somehow begin a relationship, how long would it be before Pol's strong attraction to women had him cheating on Bruno? It would probably be a very short-lived relationship. Friends with benefits is probably the best possible outcome for them romantically and anything beyond that just a gay fantasy.
It seems pretty clear that Tania and Pol will be explored next season. If I wasn't so bitter and disappointed about the loss of hot scenes between Pol and Bruno, I'd actually be excited about that pairing because I think they're a good fit. I think it's likely that Tania is the woman Pol finally falls in love with.
Looking back to season one, it looks like Bruno exiting at some point was known as a possibility from the start since the writers gave themselves an easy way to write him out by having his mother live far away in Rome. That didn't have to be the case. So perhaps David Solans' commitment to the show was never very firm.
If Bruno does return for the final episode next season, a clever twist would be to have him and Pol have sex again, leaving the audience to forever wonder how Pol, Tania and Bruno are going to play out in the future.
The way they got rid of Carolina was awfully easy and convenient. I didn't like the character, but getting rid of her the way they did was kind of lazy and lacked imagination, IMO. To me, it was another sign of the show's decline. The writers are running out of inspiration and it may be good that next season is the final one. The loss of the Bruno-Pol angle further erodes the show. I thought this season meandered quite a bit. Perhaps next season will have more direction and focus as they build towards the series finale.

Damn. Pol's future is crumbling before his eyes. I have a bad feeling that Pol is going to start doing some questionable things just out of desperation for money, rather than go to school as he'd like. I also have a nasty feeling that his brother's choice to loan that much money is going to come back to haunt them all. I'm sure those feelings are why he broke down when Tania was tending to him. I do think they're setting up for a relationship between those two. Maybe she can help him now that Bruno has left. I wasn't a fan of Coralina, but that was a pretty shitty way to write her out.

It could just be that David remains friends with the cast & crew and so sometimes attends their social gatherings. Shooting for season 3 begins at the end of April, so this gathering is not necessarily a gathering of those who will be in the show. Still, it's interesting that David is with them so close to the start of shooting. I read an article in early March by some guy who had seen the scripts for a few of the season 3 episodes and Bruno was still away in Rome. (Also Merli's mother is apparently off the show - she is said be away on tour for some play.)
It's possible that something has changed since March. It's also possible that Bruno returns later in the season. If he is still as close to the show as it seems, a guest appearance at least seems very possible. A good story, IMO, would be if Bruno returns for a visit and Pol is overjoyed to see him. They end up having sex again. Pol begs Bruno to stay, but is still not prepared to admit his love. Bruno returns to Rome and Pol is devastated. Then for the remainder of the season we see Pol struggling to admit to himself that the person he's finally fallen in love with is another guy. In one of the final scenes of the season, Pol turns up on Bruno's doorstep in Rome and we see them gazing at each other and smiling.
