This was just an amazing, fantastic episode. I'm astonished that Zero came out so publicly and so soon. And the best part is he did it to spare Jude the hurt of what Lucas was about to do to him. That's so incredibly romantic!
This makes the season a LOT more interesting than I thought it was going to be. It's going to be interesting to see how this plays out. The team just put Zero up on all their billboards. Are they going to be comfortable having an out player as their front man? This development puts the show on the cutting edge of what's happening in professional sports so it might draw a lot of attention to the show. I checked the show's ratings for this season and they are far lower than the show's first couple seasons, but still pretty good. Hopefully it will get renewed for another season.
Lucas turned out to be a real cad!

Well, I was certainly not expecting that. Awesome. I love that Zero was able to say "I love you" but still not able to tell Jude that they could be together publicly... and then by the end of the episode he just went for it and laid it all out there in the most public way possible. I'm really curious about where they'll go with the two of them through the rest of the season, but judging from the preview it looks like it's not going to be completely smooth sailing and like there will be some media fallout, which is what I would expect and I think will be interesting to see how the show addresses it. A pro basketball star - especially one of the league's biggest stars and part of the centerpiece of the championship team - coming out would be HUGE news, and something that would have a big effect not just on Zero himself but on the rest of the team, so I hope we get more reaction from the other players and Pete, Lionel, etc.
Considering the crazy long break in between Season 2 and Season 3, I'm not surprised that ratings are down from the first seasons, though it's disappointing nonetheless. Online buzz has been pretty good, though, and hopefully VH1 recognizes the part played by schedule reshuffling in the lower ratings. I'll be really bummed if this doesn't get renewed.

The best thing about this is that it means jelena can't blackmail Zero about him being with Jude which is what i feared might happen so yay for that. Let's just hope it doesn't F up Zero's career or Jude's.

I'm curious about how Zero ends up shirtless in his media interview about his coming out. I was thinking maybe he's naked as in, "I've got nothing to hide anymore." But if that was the case, I doubt anyone would be looking at his face.

This isn't based on any spoilers except what's seen in the preview, but I read speculation that maybe Jude gets caught up in the media storm outside of the arena and Zero, who's working out in the arena (hence the shirtlessness) sees this and comes out to try and take some of the heat off of Jude.

Jesus, I love the sound of a protective Zero. I love how flustered and aggravated Jude looks, like 'my boyfriend is saving my arse' and at the same time 'that's not how you answer a question, Z!"

OMG I just watched the episode and it was amazing! Zero is actually doing the right thing for once. I don't doubt that he loves Jude, it's obvious by his actions. And Zero, despite his flaws, is a million times better than Lucas. That guy is such an a**. I love Zero for protecting Jude by lying about him. It was very sweet

That sounds like a plausible way it happens. I wonder how Lionel handles the situation. I think she would be happy for Jude, but maybe not too happy that one of her star players is now so polarizing and involved with the team's VP. Jelena may try to exploit homophobia in the league to get another chance to buy the team.
One thing I don't understand about this show is how the cheerleaders have so much influence and power.

Lionel is not stupid, this will benefit her in every way. Jelena is a bitch but Lionel has more brains. I want to travel to the USA and give James LaRosa a kiss, what a series.

For those who hadn't seen this. VH1 uploaded the Zude sex scene with its original background audio. Way more enjoyable than the TV version.

Still the hottest scene on TV this year, though I was hoping they'd release an uncensored version like they did for the straight couple. Probably just as well, as I'd spontaneously combust if we'd gotten Brent Antonello naked.
It's almost a pity that they're now an out couple, because that reduces the drama (and therefore the likelihood) of future hookups between them. I was really stunned at how quickly Zero came around to publicly declaring his love (and homosexuality). I'd anticipated weeks of drama before we hit that, with Jude exploring a relationship with Lucas in the meantime and them getting serious being the trigger for Zero's action.

Amazing episode. I feel like a little child watching this story, like playing with its favourite new toy. I will patiently wait for the HD video. Thank you James Larosa!
