How I met your Father

The American show How I met your Mother is getting a quasi-spinoff, called "How I met your dad". The mother in this new show is played by Greta Gerwig. Her character's older brother is a gay character (Danny) played by Andrew Santino, who is pictured below:



Danny's husband Todd is played by Drew Tarver:



Sally (Gerwig's character) moves in with her brother after splitting with her current boyfriend. Todd was her best friend in college.

I believe the show is going to start airing in the fall, but I don't have any sources to confirm this. The same people who created How I met your Mother also developed this project.

After some long drama - How I met your father finally aired (though much different from the original premise). It does have LGBT representation - Ellen, a lesbian played by Tien Tran - who moves to New York City after divorcing her wife. She plays the adopted sister of Jesse who is one of the potential candidates for the "Father". It is sad that we don't get the gay couple planned in the original.

So wait... they switched out the gay MALE caracter for yet another lesbian?! As if we don't have enough lesbians on tv already. This is so offensive I hope it gets cancelled fast.
