From Mtv.com: 'Faking It' is a new romantic comedy about two best friends who love each other -- in slightly different ways. After numerous failed attempts to become popular, the girls are mistakenly outed as lesbians, which launches them to instant celebrity status. Seduced by their newfound fame, Karma and Amy decide to keep up their romantic ruse. The show will also feature a gay character named Shane played by the beautiful and talented Michael J. Willett (of G.B.F. and The United States Tara fame). Here is an interview with him and another actor for the show www.thebacklot.com/mtv-faking-it-michael-j-willett-greg-sulkin-interview/02/2014/Show premieres April 22nd.

Hmm, it'll be really interesting to watch a (faux) lesbian storyline for once. Michael J. Willett is definitely a plus!

The premiere was on Tuesday, and it had a good start holding onto most of Awkward's viewers.
I didn't entirely love the pilot, but after seeing the season preview, I am definitely going to continue watching.

Wauw. MTV is really doing a great job representing the LGBTQ community. Beautiful job MTV, beautiful! What's up with these gay male show runners? Ugh. I'm definitely not gonna watch Faking It now...

the season finale was good, except for the last 5 seconds. but i'm giving the 2nd season a chance. even though they decided to go with that tired trope. Rita Volk, who plays Amy and TPTB have said she is without a doubt, a lesbian. they probably wanted to clarify after the season finale had some backlash.
hoping Michael Willet will have more to do next season, especially since i like Shane so much

Shane has been treated as pretty much an afterthought this season. Too bad they ruled out any sort of gay action with Liam - Gregg Sulkin is simply gorgeous. The character, though, is taking a lot of heat from online fans following the season finale. Lesbians are gonna have to get used to this trope - how many gay men on TV wind up bedding a woman at one point or another? This is a sadly overused TV trope.

Well, it's good to hear that Shane will get some sexy time this season, and that they will feature the rarely-seen component of LGBT. I confess the main attraction for me is still Gregg Sulkin. Are we sure we can't turn his character bi too?
