I don't think so yannick is good guy I think he can change ringo. I think Yannick can be a bad boy when he wants to be. At the moment, it just looks like the show is portraying him as a good guy. But maybe it will change later if he stays on the show. So far Yannick has been portrayed as a good guy, but not your typical goody two shoes lamb that we've come to see in other gay storylines and I love that. He's a confident, smart, sexy young man and he's not going to take shit from anyone, much less from Ringo! I love that he immediately told Kira he's gay (or we assume he did off-screen) and has no issues with it. Ringo has certainly found his match...

Thank you so much for the details, ronweasley! Interesting that he said she was his first girl. Reading this, I think the storyline is believable and it may not come as much of a surprise for regular UU viewers that he might be gay. Actually, many fans on the official facebook site suspected, that Ringo was gay, long before the storyline started. So it certainly didn't come as a surprise to them. Mostly because prior to the Suji-storyline (which started this spring and ended in July), one never saw him with a girl, even if he acted otherwise. But I have to admit, that I was surprised, when I heard about the story. I didn't guess it.

It depends, what you mean with dating. He made a bet, that he could seduce Suji Wagner (a former main character, who was in a relationship with Ingo 'Easy' Winter) and destroy the relationship. But while trying to do so, he genuinely fell in love with Suji. They slept with each other, and Ringo told her in confidence, that while he acts like a big macho at school, she was the first girl, with whom he slept (yes, he did say first girl). Shortly afterwards, Suji learned the truth about the bet. And at a school party, she made a speech and told everyone about Ringo's scheme and added, that he isn't as big a womanizer, as he pretends to be. After the party, Ringo and Easy got in a physical fight and Ringo hit his head hard on the ground. The next morning, he collapsed and his life was in danger. Afterwards, he pretended to have amnesia and out of revenge for her speech at the party blackmailed Suji to leave town. Otherwise, he would have told the police, that Easy was responsible for his injury. And since Easy had been previously convicted, he might have gone to prison. Ringo actually started the fist fight with Easy, but he told Suji in her face, that he would simply lying about it, and that the police would probably believe him. So Suji left town and the soap, and that was the only storyline so far, where Ringo had something like a romantical interest. thank u now we know more

I've checked the show's official FB page and the feedback on the storyline seems to be majorly positive (except for the few expected homophobes). Hopefully it means they'll extend Yannick's stay on the show if the couple is popular. I've actually started to watch the show on RTL Now since this storyline debuted and it seems much more of a family friendly one than say AWZ, at least the AWZ that we see these days. It seems to have many light, funny storylines and much less intrigue. I quite like it. But the thing that drives me crazy is trying to figure out the family links in the show. It seems that everyone is related in some way. Hope I'll manage some day.

But the thing that drives me crazy is trying to figure out the family links in the show. It seems that everyone is related in some way. Hope I'll manage some day. It is complicated, because many characters are part of the series for several years, more than a third of the cast is there for more than a decade. So they are all linked somehow. I hope, this will help you a bit, it's the current main past. I while make two or three posts, because it is easier for me this way. The Weigel family: That's Irene Weigel. Actress Petra Blossey is the only actress of the original cast from 1994, who is still part of the show. The house was former owned by her mother in law and then by her husband. Both of them are dead for a few years, and now Irene owns the house. She has two sons and one daughter. The oldest son left the series long time ago. Till Weigel, Irene's son. Actor Ben Ruedinger is a recast and plays Till since 2000. Till does have a son with his first wife. The son is currently in a boarding school, mostly for the reason, that the child actor can't work that much. It doesn't make much sense within the soap's universe, in my opinion. Eva Wagner (Claudelle Deckert). Till's wife and a lawyer, who is part of the show from 2001 to 2006 and again since 2008. She's a bitchy character, but with a soft spot and not too evil. Her mother Heike is currently part of the show as well, but like Yannick Heike is recurring. Anna Weigel, Irene's daughter and Till's sister. Marylu Poolman is the third actress to play the role and does so since 2010. Anna owns the local bakery, which she inherited from her father Wolfgang. Paco Weigel (Milos Vukovic, who is part of the show since 2000.) He's the nephew of the late Wolfgang Weigel and therefore Till and Anna's cousin. Nonetheless, he was married to Anna (this is legal in Germany, but rather unusual). After Anna had a miscarriage and can't get any children again, they drifted more and more apart and divorced. Rufus Sturm (Kai Noll, since 2003), Anna's current and much older boyfriend. After his wife Rebecca (the one, who once had the lesbian relationship a few years ago) was killed by the show's most evil villain, and Rufus went through a hart time, Anna cared for their daughter Lotta. This was shortly after the relationship with Paco ended. Over the time, Rufus and Anna grew closer and became a couple. Rolf Jäger (Stefan Franz, since 2002, but currently taking a break since May 2013). Wolfgang Weigel's illegitimate son from before the relationship with Irene. Half-brother of Till and Anna. He came to town, to find his father and a new family, but turned out to be a total nutcase and highly criminal. Over the years, he has commited about every crime possible, including murder, attempted murder, kidnapping, and arson. Somehow, he never got caught for a long time. He's the murderer of Rufus' wife Rebecca, a crime, for which he is now sitting in a psychiatric ward. But according to RTL, the character is just taking break, and since Rolf is in therapy, he might return, which would be the horror of about every character, because pretty much all of them worked together, to bring him to justice, and he sweared revenge. Sina Uhland (Valea Scalabrino, since 2010). Another illegtimate child of Wolfgang. She and Irene had a strained relationship for some time, because in contrast to Rolf, she was the result of an affair Wolfgang had during the manage. But she has grown close to every Weigel family member, including Irene. She is highly intelligent, but also rather arrogant about it, sometimes. But she does have a good heart not so deep down. She's the schoolmate, who got bullied by Ringo.

The Fink/Schönfeld-Family: Ute Fink, born Kiefer, divorced Weigel. Actress Isabell Hertel is part of the show since 1995 and therefore second longest after Petra Blossey. She's one of the owners of the pub/restaurant "Schiller". She's Till's former wife and mother of his son and actually close friend to Till's new wife, Eva, even though Ute isn't bitchy at all. Henning Fink, Ute's new husband. Actor Benjamin Kiss is a recast, who plays the part since 2010. He's a teacher. Micki Fink (Joy Abiola-Müller, since 2009), Henning's daughter. She's HIV-positive, and the soap got an award for this storyline in 2011. After it was a backburner storyline for a few month, it's now a bit more important again, because she has to take medicaments, now. Britta Schönfeld (Tabea Heynig, since 2010). Henning's former girlfriend and Micki's mother. She's scheming, greedy and not to be trusted. Her weak spot and biggest fear is Rolf, because she became one of his main targets, after she left him during their wedding ceremony. She only became close to him because of his money anyway, and then left him, because she loved Malte Winter. Moritz Schönfeld (Marvin Linke, since 2010). Henning and Britta's son and Micki's brother. Micki was raised by Henning, and Moritz was raised by Britta. Malte Winter (Stefan Bockelmann, since 2001). A former alcoholic and Britta's husband. After Britta left Rolf, he made Malte fall into relapse, by secretly mixing alcohol in his food. Britta helped him defeating the addiction, and he started to return her feelings. But after his wife is back to her old ways, Malte left her and wants a divorce. Easy Winter (Lars Steinhöfel, since 2005). Malte's cousin and the one whose relationship Ringo destroyed. He's the best friend of Ringo's half brother Tobias.

The Beckmann-family: Paul Beckmann (Eric Langner, since 2012). He's the son of two hippies, and since he liked their education that much, he became a bit of a hippie as well. He and Sonja are very open about their relationship, much to Kira and Ringo's horror. Sonja Beckmann (Anne Apitzsch, since 2012). Paul's wife and a veterinarian. Ringo Beckmann (Timothy Boldt, since 2012). There's enough information about him in this thread. Kira Beckmann (Barbara Prakopenka, since 2012). Ringo's twin sister, who can be pretty bitchy as well, but is nonetheless much more harmless than her brother. She's very creative, but not very intelligent, and most of her ideas, even the ones she meant well, end in chaos. Tobias Lassner (Patrick Müller, since 2006). Paul's son, who is a few years older than his half-silblings Kira and Ringo. He once was the soap's bad boy, but has become less nasty and more sympathetic over the years. He is Micki Fink's boyfriend and working for Eva Wagner, with whom he had an affair. He only found out, that Paul was his father last year. (Paul didn't know either.) Mr Lassner knew, that Tobias wasn't his son, though, and never cared much for him. That's why Tobias likes to present himself as a lone wolf, but I do think, that he has started to care about the Beckmann family a lot, because all four of them welcomed him with open arms. Leonie Weidenfeld (Sarah Stork, since 2013). Sonja's sister, who is as chaotic as Kira but completely good-hearted. Even though she is in a relationship with Bela Hoffmann, she has fallen in love with Paco Weigel. Bela Hoffmann (Bela Klentze, since 2011). Leonie's boyfriend. He's going to leave the show in October, when the character is moving to Italy. Benno Hirschberger (Benjamin Heinrich, since 2013). He's actually not related to the Beckmann's at all, but I had to put him somewhere. He shares a flat with Sina Uhland, Easy Winter and Micki Fink and is interested in Sina. He's definitely brawns and not brains, but has a good heart.

Wow, thank you so much, ronweasley! That must have been so muck work to do, but it shed light on so many things I was scratching my head about. I can now enjoy the show and I'm sure others here will give it a shot too. Thank you again!

New spoilers. Sadly only one day. Highlight to read. 8-11-2013 Even though he has an affair with Yannick Ringo holds on to his relationship with Tine. He does have problems though to thoroughly let her in. Tine eventually is fed up with Ringo´s fickleness and breaks up with him. Ringo panics: He needs Tine to not feel gay. He can convince her to take him back with a flaming oath of love and hurts Yannick deeply with that. Yannick draws the consequences from it and ends the affair.

Just watched todays ep and I really enjoyed - loved the conversation between Yannick and Kira on how he felt coming out and the chemistry between Yannick and Ringo was really good - too short, but can't wait to see how they are together when it's more than Ringo's mind playing tricks on him.....

Thanks Mimi for the upload and Kira for the spoiler!
That was a really touching conversation between Yannick and Kira about his coming out. We got to see Yannick's vulnerable side and how his experiences shaped him into the young man he is today.

Who took that picture? It's a bit creepy. The last boy you can see it in the scene, Easy ( Ingo) Winter he took the picture with his camera. He is a photographer and have make it a lot of photos at this moment in the street, and one of them is the picture with Ringo and Yannick. He see it now the first time, that he make this photo. And he don't like Ringo...

I'm surprised that it looked as though that was the first time that Easy had seen the situation as he had to have noticed something to have taken the photo in the first place. It was perfectly framed after all.
