Last week on the show Nashville, Chris Carmack's character Will kissed his buddy Gunnar. Chris gives a rather cagey interview about how the show is going to proceed with his character, which if you are interested you can read here: www.tvfanatic.com/2013/05/chris-carmack-qanda-whats-next-for-will-and-gunnar-on-nashville/Chris Looks amazingly good as a cowboy (black hat); the guy he is talking to is his character's friend Gunnar (played by Sam Palladio): I saw a clip last week with the kiss scene, but I can't seem to find it now.

Thanks for posting the interview kevvoi and making this thread. I found this clip from episode 18: The Backlot made a post about the kissing scene last week, so I watched the episode. I didn't know (when watching the episode) if it were Will who would be kissing Gunnar or the other way around. Through the whole episode, I actually thought it was Gunnar who would be kissing Will. ;D I don't know if anyone have seen episode 18, but I really thought Gunnar was gay (and he still hasn't really convinced me otherwise). It's nice to know that they will keep the Will character around, if the show gets a second season.

I'm really excited for this storyline! I always thought it was weird that Nashville didn't have more gay characters, considering the show is a huge hit among the gays, and they have been very loyal fans. It's about time imo! I have actually watched Nashville, but I haven't seen it in a while. This is a great opportunity for me to get into the show again

Great news! ;D Thanks for posting overtherainbow. I really hope they'll make an interesting storyline and not just make Will stay on the show to have awkward conversations with Gunnar...

Did anyone watch yesterday's episode? Will opened up about getting it on with a friend when he was 17, and his dad threw him out of the house. No wonder he's so messed up! I'm not liking the preview for next week though, although I could sorta see it coming.. but still.. ugh

I think he knows that he is gay but he can't seem to say it out loud. I think it was brave of him to kiss Gunnar and "come out" to him that way, when we just learned how Will's dad treated him when he found out! And what did you see in the preview overtherainbow? I just can't figure out where the writers of the show are going with Will's story line... But I hope to see a lot more of him in the second season. ;D

It was brave of him to "come out" (I mean he sorta did) to Gunnar. It was good for him to talk about his experience, especially with someone he could trust. SPOILER: From what I could see from the preview it looks like Will slept with Scarlett (Gunnar's ex girlfriend). I'm not completely sure though, but it certainly seemed that way to me. I have no idea where the writers are going with his storyline either. Will is really messed up, especially if I'm right about next week. I think he has a long way to go before admitting to himself that he's gay, but who knows.. maybe this incident is just what it takes to realize he likes men and can't do this charade anymore? At least I hope so!

At least I hope so! It would be cool to see a gay country singer. Maybe that will be his story line moving forward? He will have to (really) come out at some point and hope to be the first gay country singer (there isn't any out country singers, right?) or he will stay in the closet and hope that his career will take off but living a lie...

I just saw the season finale, and well.. there wasn't much Will at all. And the little we did get to see of him, he actually slept with a woman. Ugh.. not that I'm surprised. I mean, I expected it, and it's realistic. But it still sucks. I want to see him with a guy. Although I understand he's closeted. I did find it telling though, that when Gunnar found Will and her in bed together, he said "I thought you were..". Will kinda interrupted him and said harshly "I want to make it in the business". That was sad. He's under the impression that he has to sleep with a lot of women and get a reputation to make it. Aww, he's so messed up. On the bright side.. at least he didn't sleep with Scarlett, which is what I feared. They didn't kill him off, and he didn't leave, so I expect his story to continue next season

YAY! That's great news! I knew the character had potential. There's so much they can do with his storyline.. there's a lot of material there. Him coming to terms with his own sexuality, coming out to family and friends, then potentially coming out and be an openly gay country singer, and last but not least.. the homophobia in country music. I never imagined him actually becoming a series regular though! It's awesome. He's one of the most interesting gay characters on tv right now (not that there's that many left.. this year has been awful for gay characters unfortunately). This news literally made my day!

I just watched the last episode, and it was good I think Will made a mistake choosing the label of that asshole. Also.. I have a feeling Will's love interest is not being totally honest with him. I think he's using Will or something I just hope I'm wrong about him. Oh well.. at least he's cute I guess. I also think he was part of the reason why Will went for that label in the first place. Just my opinion!

Maybe Will is just afraid of exposing his sexal orientation because his ex-boyfriend seems to called Brent works in Edgehhill and the new manager Jeff wants Will to "ditch Highway 65".Hope my understanding above will be right!

My thought was that after seeing Gunner play Will felt that he wasn't a real artist like Gunner or Scarlett, which was what Rayna was looking for in her small label. I half expected him to recommend Gunner as his replacement when they were talking at the party.
