So much for Noah being a sneaky, cunning manipulator - Declan makes him look like a saint by comparison. It's interesting - and refreshing - that the show is portraying a gay guy (a teenager no less) in this way. On any other show, I would balk at the negative portrayal but The Fosters has had so much LGBT representation, of every stripe, that they have earned the right to portray a thoroughly unpleasant LGBT person.
I'm sad that the show is coming to an end next week, and especially that we had so little of Noah/Kalama Epstein this season. I hope the summer finale gives us proper closure if we don't get to follow Jude (and Noah) into adulthood on the spin-off series. Callie is Jude's sister, so I can't imagine he won't at least guest-star on the new series. I would still prefer Kalama or Gavin to be a regular on that series (although I acknowledge there is little reason to have either Noah or Connor without Jude). Who knows, maybe this is their chance to get a new (more likable) gay male character as Callie and Mariana's roommate.

Does anyone else find it odd that whoever is sponsoring those streams (a video game company?) is okay with the content of those videos. They are minors making explicit sexual references and the stripping is borderline child pornography. Jude is still in middle school, so who is watching these videos? Even if they're being made for kids that is not okay. I don't often agree with Steph, she mostly annoys me, but she is not wrong in this case.

Apparently Jude is going to go through an emo phase. And the romance with Noah appears to not survive a year. It would be cute if in the series finale, Jude and Noah reconnect.

It looks like it happened during the time Mariana and Jesus graduated, but the by his graduation he changed. From my understanding the series finale picks up where this season ends.

Interesting they would have Jude and Noah reconcile, and expend some time on getting to that in the season finale, only to reveal - in the same episode - that their romance did not survive four more years. So it sounds like Noah isn't part of the last three episodes or the spin-off (although I'm guessing Jude is; since he is the one going to study at UCLA). I expected three, not four, of the Adams-Foster kids to end up in LA, but it looks like Brandon will also be there along with Callie and Mariana.

Most high school romances don't last beyond high school. Jude is young. Hopefully he'll have more than 2 boyfriends before he settles down to get married MUCH MUCH later.

This has started. Not happy that Jude and Noah's break-up took place off-screen. I understand that not all high-school couples last but surely, after two seasons of developing their relationship, Noah deserved more than that. The actors who play Jude's love interest ALWAYS get a poor deal.
It's incredibly lazy to portray three siblings as the love interests of another three siblings. And the guy being thrown at Jude is not particularly interesting with his supposed girlfriend. Maybe the twist is he's actually straight, but that would leave Jude - for better or worse our sole gay regular male - without a happy ending. (Unless we are meant to believe his happy ending is drunken, unprotected sex with strangers.)

I never cared for Noah, hopefully if Jude ends up in LA they can bring Connor back I can't see that happening after how badly the show treated Gavin MacIntosh when they fired him. I think Connor deserves better than Jude anyway! If there was any justice, Jude would run into Connor all loved-up with another hot lad and be dismayed that Connor doesn't have any residual feelings for him (after Jude cruelly dumped him).

If anybody wants to follow Jude's storyline from the 3-part finale, it's here - courtesy of Nomad: www.youtube.com/watch?v=6EOCX-F7vjw&index=236&list=PLcgyssk3Kws7N5ms9iT_lJT6fiMVlcC-FSo no happy ending for poor Carter - surely he can reach out to his siblings, they don't seem uptight like their parents? Plus now Brandon is his brother-in-law, you can be sure he will be understanding and comforting to a confused gay boy. Not sure if Jude will appear in the Good Trouble spin-off next year - the whole reason Callie stays in LA is to be close to him so it would be weird if he never shows up (still would've preferred a new gay character to him). I suspect/hope Brandon's other brother-in-law, Jamie, will be a regular, which I'd appreciate since Beau Mirchoff is one of my fave actors. And it looks like Aaron will be a regular too.

what was the point of Jude/Carter? just to show Jude how well he has it with his mothers compared to someone else?

According to IMDb, Jude will appear in only 1 of the 13 episodes of the Fosters spin-off, Good Trouble.
In the new show, Callie and Mariana end up not being able to afford their apartment and so bring in 3 roommates to share it with them. One of the new roommates looks a lot like Carter (either that or an actor who looks a lot like him.) If it is Carter, then that explains the story with Jude in the finale episodes - to setup the Carter character. If it's Carter, then I guess he will be the show's gay character.
Here's a trailer for the spin-off. See if you can tell if that is Carter.

Here's a trailer for the spin-off. See if you can tell if that is Carter. Sadly, it's definitely not Carter. Wasn't he a freshman or sophomore studying at an Ivy League school out on the East Coast? I want to say Princeton but I'm not entirely certain. So I can't really see how he would end up in LA unless he ditches his studies or transfers schools and, even then, moving in with his sister's sister-in-law seems an unlikely proposition. I am guessing the male roommate will be straight and become romantically involved with either Callie or Mariana. It's almost a given since both the other roommates are female. One of them is more likely to be a lesbian, or maybe both are - a lesbian couple. I can't say I'm crushed about Jude barely appearing in the spin-off; he was far from my favourite character. I always preferred his love interests (Connor, Jack, Noah and even Carter) over him. But IMDb is not the most reliable before a show has even screened - I mean they don't even mention who the actors playing the roommates are. I'd take that info with a pinch of salt, because considering Callie takes up the position with the conservative judge so she can be close to her youngest brother, and then for her to NOT see him regularly, would be very jarring.
