I quite liked The Curiosity of Chance. At first I thought oh no, not another high school comedy, but I did laugh a lot and it was also interesting and nice to look at. But be warned, I also liked Another Gay Movie, silly as it was and Eating Out 2

You must ne excited about ANOTHER GAY SEQUEL then. I know I am!

Echte Kerle was nice but I did not like the ending And here's a motivation for The Curiosity of Chance. That's what Chance sees from his window. Or does he? Haven't heard about the Sequel, I hope it will be as silly as the part one ;D I usually do not like this kind of comedies, but for some reason I liked this one, maybe because it was taking a piss of the famous gay films and of itself, too

I'm on the same page as you Ivan; normally I hate that type of movies, but AGM was so absurd that it was funny. I couldn't stop laughing... Hey, isn't that guy the same guy that plays in Eating Out 2?

I loved Another Gay Movie - it was just hilarious, a complete send-up of ALL things gay, but done from a gay perspective. It was fun trying to connect which movie they were sending up.

Has anyone else seen the short film Stag. It's by Ian Rashid, the same writer/director who went on to make A Touch of Pink. Premise: best-man & groom wake up together morning of the wedding (oops).
Anyway, the best-man is trying to win him over, and they have this awesome exchange that goes something like: best-man: You trying to tell me it wasn't fantastic for you too? groom: Hmmph best-man: Just tell me you didn't enjoy it.... It was like you imagined sex to be when you were a kid. Wasn't it?
That comparison, or imagery, or whatever, always stuck with me...

I watched The Curiosity Of Chance yesterday. On a whole, I liked it - Tad Hilgenbrinck is adorable, cute and perfect for the part. And I love his "OMG he's hot"-face. You know the one he does when he sees his crush dance, sit down next to him etc. Does anyone know if he's gay irl? But his friend.. I don't remember her name, ruined a lot of the movie for me. She was a bad actress and very annoying.
I am rewatching Shelter - Definately a fave... I love how Sean and Zack are so non-stereotypical. Not that flamboyant guys like Chance aren't fantastic.. but Shelter is refreshing!

Just finished Beautiful Thing. I really enjoyed that movie. Ste and Jamie were so real and found love even when they weren't sure what love was.
Makes me want to run out and buy The Mamas and The Papas Greatest Hits on iTunes, though I already have California Dreamin'.

I watched it again last night, bonobochick. I remember buying a Mamas and Papas double CD when I watched it the first time around. I couldn't get one with just Mama Cass on it. Did you know that Ben Daniels, who plays Tony, is a fantastic stage actor? He was recently nominated for a Tony Award in New York for his role "Les Liaisons Dangereuses". (Alan Rickman was in that play, and it led to his role in Die Hard.) He's also openly gay, which is interesting, since he played a straight man in BT, but wore a lady's dressing gown throughout.

I also went out and bought Mama Cass's greatest hits after watching Beautiful Thing I didn't know that Ben Daniels was gay in real life

A good alternative might be to simply get the SOUNDTRACK to Beautiful Thing, which basically IS a Mamas & the Papas Greatest Hits album. :-)

I haven't looked since though. It would be great to get it.

I really just wanted that one song...

I just realized that I didn't include C.R.A.Z.Y. in my list of favorites. Such an amazingly brilliant film, terrific performances and great soundtrack. Really an outstanding and very "real" movie that I recommend very strongly. Now it's done.

Ahh..I just left the Christian and Olli thread and found this one. C.R.A.Z.Y. has got to be one of the best movies I've ever seen. A few other favorites of mine are "Yossi and Jagger", "The Bubble" and someone I really adore (Charlie David - Dante's Cove) has a movie of his out in the festival circuit called "Mulligans". An absolutely beautiful movie. It also stars Thea Gill from QAF. The trailer for Mulligans can be seen here. www.mulligansthemovie.com

Yay, there's a sequel to Another Gay Movie! And Brent Corrigan and Perez Hilton are in it, LOL! Too bad they couldn't keep all of the original cast, though, especially Michael Carbonaro.

I just recently watched....
Dorian Blues - not a love story but it is quite funny in a poignant, ironic kinda way.
Cowboys and Angels - a cute Irish movie about a gay guy / str8 guy friendship. I loved this film - it had a similar feel to the committments in the way it was filmed.
The History boys - again not really a love story, but with a gay theme running through it. I have to say I really enjoyed this film too, though it may not be to everyone's taste.
