A series about gay men "of a certain age" ;D in West Hollywood, California.

Does (sex) life end for gay men as they approach 50? That’s the question explored by the comedic, fast-paced & serialized web series Old Dogs & New Tricks, through the friendship and tribulations of four diverse and otherwise successful West Hollywood men – each one located squarely within middle age.
Los Angeles (in general) and West Hollywood (in particular) add a strong flavor to Old Dogs & New Tricks, with its traffic, earthquakes, plastic surgery, and strongly youth-obsessed culture. But the focus remains on how these four different gay men react (or overreact) and adjust (or not) to getting older:
* Nathan Adler (Leon Acord): A successful talent agent, Nathan is approaching his 50th birthday secure with being alone -- until the advances of an amorous 25-year-old underwear model knock him for a loop.
* Brad King (Curt Bonnem): A one-hit wonder from the late 1980s (with a fake British accent he refuses to quit), Brad contends 'guys are more interested in inches than years' -- and has turned the on-line hook-up into an art form.
* Al 'Muscles' Carter (Jeffrey Patrick Olson): A personal trainer at a WeHo gym, Muscles has the body of a porn star and the mindset of a 16 year old girl -- he's not putting out til he meets his Mr. Right!
* Ross Stein (David Pevsner): A former TV leading man in the 1990s, Ross is now settled into a long-term gay marriage -- but as his husband becomes more successful, Ross finds himself spending too much time alone.
THE MAIN CHARACTERS
NATHAN ADLER: (Leon Acord): "Gay men need to grow up at a certain age!"
Nathan's a thin, very well-dressed (i.e., clothes-horse), moderately successful Hollywood agent and self-made man. He's intelligent, funny, a bit quirky & caustic, a bit uptight & rigid, clumsy, and attractive in a non-threatening, slightly European way. A reluctant smoker. Once a bit of a wild child in his 20s, he's now determined to age gracefully. He'd like to be in a relationship, but his work keeps him busy -- and he's tired of the search -- so he's trying to be happy being alone. He's a bit of a workaholic, and also a bit of a snob. He has the latest smart phone, a classic Mercedes, and an American Express Gold Card, and is generous. His head is telling him dignity is important -- but his heart and libido (and memories of his wilder days) don't make it easy.
BRAD KING: (Curt Bonnem): "Call me old-fashioned -- I like anonymous sex!"
Brad's not stunning looking or muscular, but he has the "equipment" that guarantees success when it comes to internet hook-ups. He doesn't have a great self-esteem, as he's frequently treated as a piece of meat. But he thinks the internet, especially his favorite site QuickTrick.com, is a savior -- it's turned him from wall flower to hot commodity -- after all, he couldn't show what he has to offer at a bar! He especially prefers younger, muscular men. He's a former punk rocker and one-hit wonder (punk song called "Bite Me" in 1988, which left him financially secure), a recreational drug user, and a heavy user of Viagra. He once almost had sex with Nathan when they first met in the late 1980s, but they are only friends. He'll try anything the situation calls for.
AL 'MUSCLES' CARTER: (Jeffrey Patrick Olson): "You're only as old as you look and feel!"
'Muscles' in a personal trainer at a WeHo gym, and a gung-ho community volunteer. Seemingly constantly clad in t-shirts, shorts and flip-flops, his idea of dress-up is a pair of True Religion jeans. He's muscular, handsome, sexy, and desperate to stay in shape and youthful. While not the sharpest crayon in the box, he has a native intelligence and naivety that makes him interesting. A truth-teller. In fact, he's a study in contradictions: he doesn't drink, do drugs or have casual sex, but he loves to dance, bar hop and flirt. A former farm-boy, he still has Midwestern values at heart. Despite the appearance of being a sex-pot, he is extremely old-fashioned, constantly looking for his Mr. Right, and rarely puts out unless he thinks the other guy is husband-material. He's an inadvertent cock tease.
ROSS STEIN: (David Pevsner):"Sex is 10% of marriage! Why end it if you got the other 90%?"
Ross is Jewish, in a long-term gay (and mostly platonic) marriage. He's Nathan's client, a handsome Yale graduate who began as a serious theatre professional but found himself a TV star in the 1990s, playing the lead in the TV series Max & Me. He works less now in his 50s. He has too much time on his hands. He's pragmatic, serious, a bit of a preppy, a bit self-depreciating and has a good sense of humor. He hates gay bars. He's not closeted, but he's not marching in any parades soon. His successful husband, an event planner, subsidizes him as needed. While he loves his husband, his frequent absences and their growing lack of passion frequently leads Ross to neurotic self-doubt (and the occasion hook up).
