Anyone catch tonight's episode? There was a small scene in which Brett Talbot (Cody Saintgnue) was dancing with a guy and a girl, in which Liam (Dylan Sprayberry) asks if the club was mixed. I'm hoping that that means Saintgnue's character is bisexual and he will return throughout season 5 and a potential love interest for Mason. Mason (Khylin Rhambo) was also seen kissing a guy named Lucas in this episode. You forgot to mention, almost murdered by Lucas while they were kissing! It is a glass half full vs. glass half empty case -- on the positive side Mason got kissed by a boy, on the negative side the boy ended up being part scorpion and tried to kill Mason

I assume that's Corey kissing Mason. Corey is a dead chimera resurrected by Theo. In this week's episode Corey asked Mason out on a date.

Is this the first time that it is actually confirmed that Brett is bisexual? The only clue was that kiss in the club which isn't definitive since it could have been heat of the moment. Similar to the Jackson/Erica/Issac scene from the past.
I really hope they explore more of either Brett or Saotomi. The Buddhist background of that pack is really different from the rest and would be interesting to explore. Not to mention it is just weird that you have all these problems in Beacon Hill, but they rarely affect the other Werewolf Pack in the city...

The reveal at the end of this week's episode kind of explains why the writers have bothered to actually write a few scenes and a relationship for Mason. I wonder what the reveal means for the future of Mason as a character?

I wonder if they will find a way to get him and the beast separated. They keep saying that once the beast remembers the boy will be gone. Well as we've seen in teen wolf before the team always finds a way somehow. Remember when stiles was possessed by that evil thing. They eventually fixed him. I wonder if they will do the same to mason. I don't think they would have built up his character this much just to kill him off. But than again this is teen wolf and they have killed off major characters before and mason isn't even in it that much.

I know most people have probably given up on teen wolf, but I decided to watch the premiere. This tv guide article brings up what happened to Danny and how they could possibly bring him back this season(number 11). www.tvguide.com/news/teen-wolf-season-6-premiere-burning-questions/While I don't think it is likely, I did get a chuckle, considering he pretty much has been erased from existence on the show. I would like for him to appear in "the forgotten place" and stiles be like "wait, I know you". Again, I don't think it will happen. Since he's already going to be recurring on The Originals, I doubt Keahu Kahuanui would consider going back to a show that treated him like crap. Although, it would be a nice surprise and make total sense. Promo for 6A Looks like Mason gets some action, but based on history, the promo is probably all the action he will get (that we see anyway)!

I enjoyed the dreamy teacher sequence. Actually thought that they set the stage for what might turn out to be a really good season (especially since most of the older characters need to be sent off to college - they are all looking a bit old to be playing high schoolers).

well, this is suppose to be the final season, so they don't have to do any awkward handing off of things. I hope they can end the Stiles storyline properly with the actor's injury on the Maze Runner set

The second episode was a pleasant surprise - letting Corey and Mason have a little fun. I liked that the show decided to get Liam past his distrust of Corey.

Michael Johnston is hella cute.
But that's all I have to say really.
This show had a lot of promise in the first season but looks set to go out with a whimper, particularly with regards to LGBT representation. I still cannot get over how the show was excessively praised for being gay-friendly. Although I guess I should not expect too much when we have gay publications like the Advocate, who sold out the gay community years ago.

I still cannot get over how the show was excessively praised for being gay-friendly. Although I guess I should not expect too much when we have gay publications like the Advocate, who sold out the gay community years ago. I remember the Advocate article praising the show and the comments were not pleased with that. I still don't know what went wrong. It was so easy to make Danny part of the ensemble and the storylines, but for some reason Jeff never wanted to get there (in fact Keahu never was at the comic cons with the rest of the cast, he was there because he is a nerd and enjoy being there). By the time they received the message the fans were not pleased it was too late. And frankly, everything around Sterek didn't help either. To being gay friendly you don't even need gay characters, Friends was a gay friendly shows but it didn't have any gay content. You expect better from a show with a gay head writer. Anyway you can get worse with a gay head writer, some of them have guts to have gay characters and develop them (How to get away with murder) and others if their storylines express something about themselves, frankly i'm sorry for them (Quantico)

This show never really got back on track even in the first episode you have the straight couple making out everytime there on screen and the gay couple just standing around talking at least (Quantico) seems to be doing better this season

This show never really got back on track even in the first episode you have the straight couple making out everytime there on screen and the gay couple just standing around talking at least (Quantico) seems to be doing better this season Quantico received a lot of backlash because their storyline (after all the promo on gay sites) was bordering homophobia (the fake gay guy was a hero, the real gay one a villian and a coward, and frankly they never explained why it was a good idea fake being gay), that's not what you expect from a gay head writer and even made look DaVinci's demons in a positive light in comparision. Teen Wolf always was gay friendly, the show has a gay friendly vibe even if there was no gay character. The problem is that in fact they have gay characters, token gay characters. In my opinion the nail in the coffin was the Sterek faliure. I can understand that an actor can find funny to push the buttoms of a fandom. I always said that there's no real Sterek in the screen, just two actors with good chemistry, but the producers should know better than imply there were real possibilities of them becoming a couple, and of course there were a good bunch of hints at Styles being bisexual that went nowhere. When you rule a show you need to create expectations, but it's never a good idea to create unreal expectations. And of course there was a lot of self promo about being gay inclusive and Teen Wolf never was gay inclusive, gay frienly all that you want, but for being gay inclusive gay characters need to be treated like straight and not only being the best friend of the straight character (nothing wrong with that if you give him something more to do). Anyway TW was a success and hopefully Jeff knew something form the experience and don't make the same mistakes the next time

Teen Wolf has had like 6 gay or bi male characters on the show since season one but folks seem to only care about Danny which is unfortunate cuz it underplays all of the other actual gay stuff happening on the show. For an ensemble cast that is constantly changing gay characters have actually had a lot of visibility. There are plenty of teen shows with no gay characters at all ever. If we are roughly 10% of the population in real life, I'd say Teen Wolf has managed to do a good job of representation that fits the general representation in the world in this tiny town full or monsters. In fact Teen Wolf has from the beginning been way more diverse than anything on the CW which would he the same target audience. Those are just empirical things. It doesn't change how folks feel about the show or the gay characters that have been on it but just in terms of numbers Teen Wolf has done far better than other supernatural or super hero shows in having all kinds of ethnicity represented (representative of the US actual population) and at least 1 or 2 gay or lesbian characters every half season.
I would have love to have had Danny in every season playing a large role in the show but that is not who his character was meant to be vis a vis the supernatural stuff. Keahu was very charismatic and charming and that showed in his scenes large or small and he had excellent chemistry with his scene partners so of course it made viewers want more of him but I believe in not making the perfect the enemy of the good. No one has to watch Teen Wolf but if one chooses to they are choosing to let the show runner take then on the journey that HE wants to take so I feel really good about the show over all. Again, it might not be to some people's tastes but that is just life. We can't all like everything. I also never had any interest in shipping non gay characters with other non gay characters so maybe that is why I've been able to enjoy it. I never once thought Styles and Derek were anything but reluctant allies who had a lot of comedic chemistry. Hence my lack of frustration or angst about it.
There are definitely characters I could have done without with and more I wanted from some of the characters that got less screen time but Teen Wolf threw everything in over the course of the series and I personally enjoyed it and enjoyed the gay characters we did get to have cuz they were very different from each other and a lot more representative of the diversity in the gay community than many shows with fewer gay characters have been.
That's just my take. People have spent a lot of time complaining about what the show wasn't or isn't but I just wanted to express some appreciation for what it is and had been.
