Anyway, that's why I still think that if they want to get the general populace to like Chrolli again Christian will have to eventually start doing interesting and romantic things, not so much to win back Olli but to win back the audience, give them romantic scenes and with that a reason why they should think that Chrolli is a good idea. (I do think that the audience is completely capable of this kind of reboot thinking. aka that they will change their opinion when a new scenario is presented. I just think that the current situation is not perceived as pro-Chrolli/Chrolli-likable or relatable to people)
I agree lolaruns .. and if the authors are not totally stupid or blind , they should know and see the same and should start to do something with Christian - and very soon - the last scene with Christian / Olli in Schneiders' was maybe a bit lame , but could be a good beginning of something better for Chrolli

Maybe the writers considered it an acceptable risk that people won't like Chrolli for a few months and all of that won't really kick in till the actual winning back story starts (after all they haven't given either of them a genuine new pairing for a permanent character).

It won´t be a problem to make the general audience like Christian/Chrolli again with the right writing. The best current example for things like that is Tristan. When he first came to VL he was hated and not in a love to hate way like Ansgar or Tanja. People used to call him "Truthahn" on the official board and wanted to get rid of him. Now Tristan is one of the most popular characters. Viewers like is current storyline with Marlene and his general attitude. Nobody cares about the fact that he druged and almost raped his twin sister a few months ago. So, no problem at all to make general viewers forget Christian´s cheating and behaviour in a few months.

The beginning was about a year and a half but the end of it was about half a year (or a bit more. More like 8 months). Though I think the beginning of people slowly liking him more was around the time of the Tristan/Dana stuff which was a bit earlier.
I do think that the situation was a bit different though. Like there was never the issue of lack of emotion in that story and Tristan's redemption came in the form of him not doing anything (and in that not doing anything bad) for half a year. While Christian's problem is in the form of him not doing anything when he should be doing something. Tristan's audience redemption is interesting precisely because it didn't come in the form of big gestures but by simply being nice and likable in a low key way. (the equivalent would be I guess more the option where Christian dumps Theresa and is just a good friend and likable person for half a year; something I always though he should have done originally after the cheating, but I'm not convinced it would work as well now after Theresa; there is also not being sure whether both the character Christian or the actor Thore lends himself to this)
And the thing with Tristan is about buying him in a new storyline with new romantic partners, while the issue with Christian would be to buy him with the old coupling (the one he messed up in) again. Like, I think it would be different if tried to sell Christian with a new partner (whether Theresa or a new woman or a new guy) where he starts from scratch and falls freshly in love.
