I forgot to mention, but Anthony's most recent clip is I believe Malick's last appearance on the show.

nope -- there is a returning character in a few weeks and that is all I am going to say in this thread -- as it is too much like spoiler discussion.

Can anyone explain what happened between Dom and Malick and why Arthur looked up to Malick so much? I'm looking for some clips but can't find any.

Malick was Arthur's mentor; there was also probably quite a bit of guilt there, since Arthur was the one who cost Malick his arm.
It has been awhile since the Dominick-Malick scenes, so I don't remember the exact details. And the wikipedia page for the character doesn't discuss that portion of his storyline either (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antoine_Malick).

Good Lord, Malick lost his arm?! Well, I guess it is a soap...

Good Lord, Malick lost his arm?! Well, I guess it is a soap... They were able to reattach it -- though the result did not have enough sensitivity for him to continue being a surgeon. Very soapy With regard to your question on Dominic and Malick, wikipedia's Holby City Characters list has a nice summary of Dominic's bio which explains what happened: source: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Characters_of_Holby_City

I was curious enough to watch whole episodes just to discover what a lively character the new ward doctor or 'registrar' is--Raf. Of course, Dominic is really funny when he appears. I think this will be one British medical drama series I'll be watching.

So far, so good. All the episodes since have dealt considerably with men and their issues at the hospital.
'Prince Among Men' episode introduces Rafael de Luca as the new ward doctor. (He's straight). 'Things we lost in the fire' episode has Arthur and Dominic trying to outdo each other in diagnosing a patient in their joint care. 'Eat your heart out' episode shows Harry getting jealous of Raf for getting all the attention, so he rushes into gastric surgery specialty. 'Aftertaste' episode continues from above where Harry cannot handle the emotional attachment of a gastric surgery patient and gets Raf, his supervisor, into trouble. 'Instinct' episode focuses on Dominic and a difficult patient who has it in for the former. Arthur tries to help Dominic here.

April 8th's Holby City episode "The Win" is great. The three characters, Ralph, Harry, and Dominic, have their drama. I like how the writing team portrays Dominic--mature and professional in a work setting. This will educate straight (and homophobic) people who are not comfortable around LGBT professionals.

April 15th's episode of Holby City: Cold Hearts, Warm Hands delves into the Dominic character's school experience when Arthur hears about it from someone from Dominic's past.

April 22th episode of Holby City, Battle Lines, shows that Dominic and Zoshia contribute to the diagnosis of a patient under Arthur's responsibility. And Arthur didn't give credits to them, presenting the diagnosis as his own! Of the three young doctors, I think most viewers of this series will root for Dominic. Jesse, the new anesthesiologist might be gay.

April 29 episode, Wild Child, shows us the confrontation between Rafe and Harry. The actor playing Harry is really good. Unfortunately, the writing team decides to deride Dominic. I am not happy with that way of creating humor, especially damaging for a gay character. In a previous episode, Harry had an aversion to gangrene, but he ran off to the restroom to deal with it.

May 6's episode, "My Name is Joe" is fantastic! Serena pairs up Harry and Dominic for the day and gets herself a protege (I think). As much as I dislike Harry, I always look forward to see what he is up to next, and Dominic is so funny and likeable.

I love how bitchy Dominic is, even though he hurt poor, cute Kyle. (Cannot believe the actor is 31 - he could easily play a uni student.)
Anyway, I'm keen to see what develops for Dominic now that he's blown his chance with Kyle. SPOILER: [He gets a second chance with him in the next episode.]
Thanks for the clip!
