I loved this! Very exciting what will happen next! I hope this will put the storyline in focus, so we can see some more development!
I have a question though, for those who watch the show more regularly.... Who was the guy who saw Dan and Stephen? Is he a friend of Dan or just someone at the hospital?

Can anyone tell me what Dan and Stephen are saying from 09:00 - 09:25 in the last vid? They don't say much, but I can't really figure it out...

"Alas, no."
"Afraid not. Definitely not."
"Perpetually single."
"Yeah, me too. Well, I've got Chrissie, I guess" (not sure)
"We all need someone to love."
"Something like that."
"Bye then."

I don`t understand why people assume Dan and Malick will get together I don`t think this is the case. The writers seem to be focusing more on Dan`s journey and confusion about his sexuality. I don`t like it that Malick has no love life he is just of there listening to the white people problems.

Yeah, I don't see Dan and Malick as an item either, but judging from youtube comments, it seems like some people are, I don't know if the writers ever said anything that would make people think there would be more to it than that one kiss....
I also think we should see some of Malicks love life [SPOILERS] Hopefully we will on Tuesday, if spoilers are to be trusted!

Ok, I think I like where they’re going with this. Or at least where I think they’re going with it.
Dan, presumably as befits a person of his incredibly privileged background, has a phenomenal sense of entitlement based on the fact that he is white, male and (outwardly) straight. He totally buys into the idea that there are straight white male rules of the game. He doesn’t bother to hide the fact that he considers himself superior to Malick and Frieda because he cannot comprehend that anyone would think otherwise. If Dan ever comes out it will probably be as a result of seeing Malick or Frieda succeed despite being female, gay or black. I want to see him forced to confront his own deep prejudices. On the other hand, if Malick continues to be frustrated in his ambition to become a consultant, Dan will no doubt put this down to his being gay & black and will never make the move to come out.
My one fear is that they will be tempted to put Dan & Malick together. I really hope they don’t. The actors have a good sparring chemistry and I could totally see Malick supporting Dan through his coming out but nothing more.

Oh, I do like Simon!!
Looks like Malick likes him too! And what was all that about Dan wanting to run off to California??
I'm intrigued....

If we could decide who we loved, it would be much simpler, but less magical.

Oh I love Simon, hopefully his character will get more scenes. Because he's great with both Malick and Dan, but he's also great on his own.
I think both Malick and Dan are interested in him, now where could this go? I hope it actually has Dan come out of the closet and not have him do something very stupid.

So I'm watching some old clips of Mistresses today because I love the story of Jessica who falls for Alex. Whose one half of a lesbian couple that she's arranging the wedding for. Which makes Jessica wonder about her sexuality. Anyway low and behold, I find out the guy who plays Jessica's boss who she was having an affair with and later acts as friend. Is played by Adam Astill who plays Dan on Holby City who is dealing with his own sexuality issues. I just find that interesting.
