I think it was just a very lame way for Will and Paul not to figure out who's who. It's like Sonny not telling Paul that Will came home. No reason for him not to other than so Paul won't figure out who Will is. Agreed. Forget the homophobia of it all with Will being asked to hide his relationship status, but do reporters really get asked personal questions by the interviewee? I doubt it, but if it is a thing all he has to say is that he doesn't talk about his personal life. Easy as. It's all very contrived so they can have a reveal that will cause drama. Same with the way Victor wouldn't help Sonny. In what world would he really say no to his nephew? It's going to add to the drama if Paul invests in the club, or even just the drama that could ensue if Will finds out he considered taking money from his ex. Hopefully whatever it is will last more than 2.5 seconds.

Yes, reporters are usually vetted aka background is checked regarding the type of articles/stories/interviews and topics that they write about for whatever publications they work for at that time. There can be certain requests asked of them, before they're granted the interview. It was Will's choice to agree. Also, if the reporter wants to get the interviewee to trust him or her even and to open up a bit about their life, they wouldn't say that their own personal life was off limits. That just enforces another way of the reporter not being able to get more information regarding his or her subject/person they are interviewing.

I do not know if this is true but someone posted it on the willxsonny tumbler. The person did not ID themselves as spoiler anon who used to post Will and Sonny spoilers so again do not know if it's true. But the post was that Will and Paul sleep together around the 1st of the year. As much as I don't want to believe it it goes with the current s/l. Paul could seduce Will and make sure Sonny finds out. Paul would claim he did not know Will was Sonny husband and that it was just casual sex after all Paul is single. This would also go along with what Guy said about something happening to Will in January that he would need Lucas for.

Paul could seduce Will and make sure Sonny finds out. Paul would claim he did not know Will was Sonny husband and that it was just casual sex after all Paul is single. This would also go along with what Guy said about something happening to Will in January that he would need Lucas for. I also saw that spoiler and I'm quite worried that it could turn out to be true. However, this person does not appear to be the same person that was posting accurate spoilers last year, so who knows? I do think that the story is supposed to be about Sonny and Paul and how could that still be true if Paul sleeps with Will? I don't think I could understand Sonny wanting to pursue a relationship with Paul after he (knowingly or unknowingly) sleeps with his husband. Why would Sonny break up with Will and not be mad at Paul? Even if he is single, Sonny loves Will and Paul would be the home wrecker in this scenario. If Paul does know who Will is, does he really thinking sexing Sonny's husband is going to earn him brownie points? Right now, it's playing as Will not understanding why his husband is so angry and distant. I don't think Will cheating is going to help the character at all. It would just be one more thing that Will has done wrong that Sonny has to forgive. I've been watching soaps for twenty years and I don't think I've ever seen a person get together with another character who's assisted in breaking up their relationship. So what is going to happen? After not being able to look at his bed without having a sex flashback of Sonny, is Paul going to transfer his affections to Will? And how does that get milked over the next six months, unless Sonny is really that desperate to get back with Paul. If Paul sleeps with Will, how is he going to get outed? Paul could always blackmail Will into keeping quiet about his sexuality if he knows just how much Will could lose too. Unless Derrick outs them. And let's say Will and Paul keep the fact that they slept together a secret. They could both blow each other's chances with Sonny by revealing it, and if Sonny found out, I don't think he would choose either of them. Will and Paul sleeping with each other severely limits the storyline potential IMO. How are we supposed to see both Will and Paul as viable romantic options for Sonny after that. The whole thing that makes Sonny and Paul so threatening to Will and Sonny is the feelings and the backstory. It has also been foreshadowed that Sonny is on the precipice of losing everything. Sonny losing out on contact with Arianna because of this thing with Paul has so much more dramatic potential than Sonny leaving Will because he has sex with Paul. I still think that Sonny will be the one to cheat with Paul if abnyone cheats. There is still the matter of the money for the club. I think this Will and Paul thing is there just to lead Will to find out about Paul and Sonny's past relationship. GW said in an interview that even after WilSon sort out their relationship and how it relates to Paul, Derrick comes in with a game-changer. I think the story will be that Will finds out about Sonny and Paul and Sonny will say it's all in the past, I can't be with him because he's in the closet and then Derrick will come in with some incriminating photos of Paul and Sonny, outing Paul and the fact that their relationship is very much current. This will open up the triangle because Paul is now free to pursue Sonny and will likely lead to Sonny losing Will and Arianna. Plus, the idea of Will and Sonny sharing the same bedmate is a bit skeevy to me. I'm prepared to eat crow if it happens, but I don't see how the writers could pull it back if they do this.

It will be an incredibly bold move, because it will block all storyline development. It will be difficult to believe that Paul is really that interested in Sonny if he is sleeping around. So instead of having two candidates fighting for Sonny's love you will get two unsuitable people to be with him.
And frankly i don't want this storyline to revolve around Will, it's time Sonny be the center of at least one storyline

I know even if Paul told Sonny he didn't know who Will was and that he was just trying to move on with someone and get over his feelings for Sonny, i don't see Sonny wanting to be with the man his husband cheats with. And it was mentioned that Guy said Will, Sonny and Paul come to some kind of understanding before Derick comes into play. But you would think what Derick knows would have something to do with Will's visits to Paul's hotel room.
This is all confusing.

What role is Derrick going to play? I can't imagine that they hired a guy who looks like that to stand around in a bellboy uniform ... Surely he will be heating up the sheets with someone sooner rather than later. But he's only on for 16 episodes, and a quarter of those are over. It's pretty obvious he isn't on the up and up, so I'm leaning in the direction of him offering Ace Reporter Will evidence of Paul's homosexuality. How will he get said evidence? Will he film Sonny cheating on Will with Paul? Or proposition Paul himself? Or - if rumours are to be believed - leak Paul and Will's affair to another reporter?

Yes I'm waiting to see just how Derick will be used. Guy and Freddie say he's the one who causes the drama but seriously if what Derick does is reveal that Will or Sonny slept with Paul than Derick really isn't to blame. If one of them didn't cheat there would be nothing to reveal.
Going back to the Will and Paul rumor. Days has started a character assassination of Will ever since he started his tabloid writing. As selfish and uncaring as he has been portrayed at times sleeping with Paul would probably ruin him in most fans eyes for good. If Will and Sonny are still end game then Days has to redeem Will. Will could be redeemed by having to fight to keep from losing Sonny to Paul. Is Will cheats they might as well write off the character because he is not going to work as the gay male version of Sami.

Well, Will show his shady and selfish ways before the tabloid job. All his work for EJ show a very different personality of the beaten puppy Will of the coming out. Yes he was in a difficult process of accepting himself back then, but i think it's part of his personality, he can be sweet, but he can be incredibly self centered too

In the past when Chandler was playing Will these things were done at a tolerable level but with Guy they have taken them to new heights that at times make Will unlikable.

Lots of speculation ...
From a story development perspective, it doesn't make any sense for Will to actually sleep with Paul right now. Sonny is the one feeling neglected by his husband. He's the one with the emotional connection with Paul. And with Will and Sonny looking reasonably happy at Christmas, it makes even less sense for Will to cheat on Sonny.
But I could see a misunderstanding: Derrick (or someone else) sees Will repeatedly coming to Paul's hotel room and assumes the worst. Then somehow Sonny learns about it.

In the past when Chandler was playing Will these things were done at a tolerable level but with Guy they have taken them to new heights that at times make Will unlikable. I think what's often forgotten in all these discussions of Will's personality is how young he is. He seems to have gotten through college in only three years. I know age is fluid on soaps, but he really can't be much older than 21. Most people are at least a little self-centered in their twenties, and also flail around a little trying to figure things out -- and generally they don't have the added pressure of trying to support a child. And he is trying to negotiate a marriage without having had a good role model for doing so. If Will does sleep with Paul, I think it would simply follow the path the writers have set out before: Will does something that he feels guilty and ashamed about and that he thinks makes him "not good enough" for Sonny, and Will is then redeemed as Sonny helps and forgives him every time. To me this would be a boring and stupid way to go for all the reasons others have set out above, but understandable in light of past writing for these characters.

Agreed, but it would irritate me because what a way to take all the steam out of the story. Lots of people have stopped making allowances for Will ( like they would have done if CM was in the role), so I was looking forward to Will being on the side of right this time around.

If Will is the new Sami, she was known for destroying her own happiness. Pushing to the point of exhaustion that she was the hurt party. No clue about what is to come, but a Paul/Will hook up wouldn't be out of the question. I could see them finding that they have something in common. Will had a hard time coming out and neither has had any real relationships except for Sonny.
If Paul is still there, I don't see him as this plotting person. I can see him maybe wanting to come out, but when his mother shows up, he changes his mind. Sonny would never be with someone like that, but I could see Will willing to. Derrick might tell Sonny about Will/Paul meeting, but it can be explained by the article. This is obviously dragged out for months.
If Sonny cheats, he wouldn't have a leg to stand on if he wants to keep Ari in his life. Sami cheated on many of her lovers, but none of them cheated on her. Rafe came close with Carrie, but it never amounted to anything. Finally, if Paul/Sonny we're going to sleep together, why would they show all the flashbacks. Wouldn't they save it for the shocking event when it happens?
As I said, I have no clue, but those are just my thoughts on what I've read from everyone's comments.

i guess Paul doesn't know who Will is,but all this flirting and personal questions tells that Paul is interested in Will in some way, maybe he is trying to understand is Will reliable enough and he can trust him (to come out?), next week Paul gonna tell Will about his lost love, interesting whether Paul tells that his 'lost love' it's a guy or not and how Will will react on this i think it's refreshing seeing Sonny being mad at Will more than two seconds and not forgiving him right away, why Sonny always has to be understanding and supportive? i'm sick of saint and good Sonny give me some bad, treacherous and sinful please

Lucas and Adrianne' coming s/l from SOD article:
"It's Christmas Eve and Sonny asks Adrienne to watch the baby while he runs a quick errand. Lucas arrives and sees that she's feeling low. Bryan Dittalio says, "Adrienne tells Lucas that Justin won't be back with her for Christmas. Lucas starts to see Adrienne as an actual person, not just Will's mother-in- law or someone who doesn't get along with Sami." Lucas sits with her and she vents her feelings. "Adrienne is very vulnerable. She expresses her disappointment about not having her husband at Christmastime", Bryan says. Her pain strikes a cord with Lucas. He feels bad for Adrienne he can relate to how she is feeling and he feels that no one should be alone for the holidays. He does his best to help Adrienne feel better. "Lucas views her in a new light and also recognizes some things in himself too as well", Bryan relates. I always loved Lucas and Adrianne as characters, and actors who play them are charming and talented, i think it's good they finally get a real story to play

Will would be devastated if he lost Sonny, due to his current behavior and Paul's been dealing with the realities of not having Sonny in his life, due to what he chose in the past. I also think that it'll be misunderstandings about why Will's been spending so much time alone with Paul, that might cause rumors of Will sleeping around on Sonny AND that there might be another reporter (from a rival publication), trying to also do an expose on Paul. I think that Derrick's going to be the one who outs Paul and causes more drama for the marriage of Will and Sonny. He's the one that keeps telling Paul that he can keep secrets, yet Paul really has no clue about who Derrick really is, other than what he tells him.
