As this is the week Gabi goes, I'm going to guess that someone takes a shot at Nick, but shoots Gabi instead and she dies.

If we could decide who we loved, it would be much simpler, but less magical.

If Gabi dies, does that mean Nick might try to get custody of Ari. Like he makes it look like Will and Sonny were involved in her death. And for some reason Gabi set it up so if anything happen to her, Nick got Ari. I know it sounds insane, but this is a soap and Gabi/Nick afterall.

There a rumor out there that Chad is back this fall. Greg Vaughan tweeted part of a script that had his name on it.

Gabi doesn't leave until mid-June according to Jason47. My theory is that Gabi shoots Nick after she finds out that he's been playing her and then she gets sent to jail.
She could also have been playing him from the start, but why would she risk losing access to her daughter just to get rid of Nick permanently? And she's definitely benefiting from his blackmail. With her track record, she's gotta know that it would be too risky to try to kill Nick and still walk around free. My guess is crime of passion.
When Julie was last on, she made a point of warning Nick that Gabi was trouble. So if Gabi kills him, that makes sense.
The only thing that will disappointment me if Nick dies is that Julie will continue to think he's a saint, and will never find out about his blackmailing.

Do we know when Nick leaves? I guess I was under the impression that he was going to leave around the same time as Gabi (give or take), but I might not be remembering correctly.

Blake has implied he's still on after Gabi leaves but no one really knows. Unlike Gabi it has not been announced he's leaving.

I thought that I'd read that Blake was still taping after Camila's exit. But I could be wrong. Though without Gabi, what would Nick do? It's the same thing I wonder about Will and Sonny. LOL.... But if Nick is killed with Gabi as the shooter, they can bring her back in a few years to stir things up for W/S.

I don't think they are even in the same level. Scott is one of the most known actors of the show, and Ejami was a trademark for many years. Chandler was part of the young esemble wich on a soap is generally less important.
If they keep losing their most known actors they need to improve the writting to keep the interest

That pairing and the EJ character was the face of the show for these past years. Just like Marlena and her pairings with Roman and John was the draw of the show in the 80s and 90s. Much more than WilSon or that Massey (who wanted to be let go) was replaced by Guy Wilson quicker than expected. Let's not try to elevate or confuse the two different situations.

I know that Chandler and James aren't matched in acting skill and importance to the show. My point was that the departure of both guys and Ali will continue errode viewers from the show. I think it's short-sighted to ignore fans of Chandler who quit the show over his departure as they have been pretty vocal about it. And god knows, his replacement certainly is not bring any new eyeballs to the show with his lackluster performances as of late. Days is definitely going to need to pull a lot of rabbits out of its hat quickly. I wish one of them would be to (sadly) replace Guy Wilson with a stronger dramatic actor and elevate WilSon to lead characters.

I wish one of them would be to (sadly) replace Guy Wilson with a stronger dramatic actor and elevate WilSon to lead characters. It's not about "dismissing" the Massey fans, who cannot let it go, that he was let go from the show, before they were ready to see him gone. Yet, you say that the show needs to "replace" Will with a more "stronger dramatic actor"?! The same Massey fans would STILL be bitching and complaigning about that new guy. Nothing is going to help "elevate WilSon" by changing actors, when the writers of the show constantly come up with storylines that do nothing to help in letting those characters be seen as anything but special snowflakes and not in the same league as the other male characters (who all happen to be straight) on the show. At this point, Will and Sonny (regardless who's actually portraying them) are seen as not the same as the others and that's the problem. Not which actor is in the role. The writing continues to be lacking, but hey. These are fictional gay characters in a US based daytime soap. They got together relatively quickly, got their sweet and cute baby AND got married without any drama that could credibly cause a true riff between the couple.

Sorry but i'm a little tired of this. Wilson never was Nuke, they never bust the ratings up. Chandler is a good actor and has his fans but unfortunately he was barely a factor. Wilson storyline was boring from the very beginning, the fact that now is more boring doesn't have nothing to do with the recast, it has to do with the writers putting them in a corner. Give a baby to a young couple usually doesn't help them to have better storylines, but marrying them is the kiss of death.
Chandler was more than bored (or at least he seemed really bored during his last performances) and i can't blame him. Right now they are like a pair of boy scouts with nothing more to do than taking care of their child

Chandler was more than bored (or at least he seemed really bored during his last performances) and i can't blame him. Right now they are like a pair of boy scouts with nothing more to do than taking care of their child I both agree and disagree with you. Yes. WilSon has been basically boring from the beginning because the show refuses to invest in the characters. However, to say that Chandler "was barely a factor" is just ludicrous. Since when has NATAS and ATAS given an actor 4 consecutive emmy nominations (and 2 wins so far) for just showing up? Yes. Chandler was often bored in his scenes but that was because most of the drivel being written for WilSon is beneath his talent. Personally, I'm glad that Chandler is not currently playing Will because as I said before I believe he lacks the real-life experience to be able to take Will where the character needs to go in the near future. That being said, sadly... Guy Wilson has to go. In the beginning, I was all aboard "let's give the recast a chance" train. I even went around to various sites where people were bashing Guy for his aesthetics before he even aired defending him. However now that a couple of months have past, I have to say that I agree now that GW is a miscast. He just doesn't have the emotional range required for the child of Sami and Lucas. The writers wrote two short scenes for Will last week that any dramatic actor would have effortlessly hit out of the park. Guy failed to do so on both occasions He was flat in one and just okay in the other. I have no doubt in my mind that Chandler would have gone 2-0 with the same material. The role of Will Horton should be graduated to lead especially with Sami and EJ leaving the canvas. The only way this is going to work is if a gorgeous dramatic hunk is hired in place of Guy. In order for Will to be popular, both the actor and the character must appeal strongly to straight women just like James Scott does. I believe Freddie and Chandler do also. They must be able to create "buzz". To me Guy Wilson is the only "barely there" actor in this equation. He's a talent and awesome person, but those traits cannot make up for his shortcomings. He needs to attend some more dramatic arts classes.
