Rebecca remembered Christian is gay. Finally Today Christians fixation about Rebeccas well being was the worst I thought. And especially how he always hugs her. He thinks that's normal and all that "especially for Rebecca" and "Oh you don't like that, then we go to the cinema", Sorry, but making their free time about what Rebecca wants? It was so clear we wouldn't see the christmas market thing. They could have done that talk while they go over it at least.

OH MY GOD!! does she actually say she doesn't want to 'steal' olli's boyfriend?! like she might be capable of it?!?!? that silly little twunt... what planet is she living on?!? Exactly, even if she would want to.... And I honestly think her little "Look Christian I touched your hand" and "Bag present" things are already trying to "steal" Also the moment where it seemed she would like to kiss him. She wouldn't think of Olli if she get's the chance so she's trying to portray herself as an angel "I'm okay with their happiness" so she won't see her failing. (I also don't know how she thinks that's possible when Christian is gay?)

okay i just watched the chribecca scenes from today and i don't know if thore meant to play it that way, but the scene where he was practically *begging* rebecca to come out with him and olli was the first time i saw genuine warmth in his eyes towards her. today was the first time i thought i saw an inkling of possible chribecca on the horizon... not happy.

I agree, Christian trying to get Rebecca to be a part of his daily plans was annoying and strange, but at least he said "you can come to the christmas market with OLLI and me, or how about the cinema, you me and OLLI??" he's always thinking about his babyboy no worries, folks

Thanks, Sonnenschein! I liked the part when Christian was alone/confused in the castle and said, "But the movie is really good." It was silly.

Yes.. BUT... you have to remember that Christian (and the audience) knows something that Rebecca doesn't... that there is a chance that Rebecca's dad will come home. I hated the scenes a few days ago when Rebecca was talking about Helena leaving...and then I remembered that Christian knows why she left. He's compensating for keeping that secret by being overly nice. I think this fits very nicely still with the fact that Christian feels sorry for her.

Have you forgotten that according to writers they are BEST FRIENDS now. So this-kinda behavior should be normal, when a friend is down. Despite that it makes me puke too. SPOILER : I hope that writers have now established enough R being in love with Christian and let sleeping dogs lie. Unfortunately there will be probably more "friendship" scenes that are not spoiled.

What were David and Rebecca saying about that 'cute critters' bag/Lydia? Looked to be THE bag...so what was Rebecca doing back with it? And what was being said, in the castle kitchen, when Rebecca was distractedly stuffing that chocolate in her mouth?

Rebecca remembered Christian is gay. Finally Where in the ep was that? What was said? It was in the conversation where she told David she feels like she's stealing Ollis boyfriend. It was something like " and on top of it he's gay".

So she admits he's gay when, not long before, only Olli ringing Christian put a stop to her making a pass on him...

What were David and Rebecca saying about that 'cute critters' bag/Lydia? Looked to be THE bag...so what was Rebecca doing back with it? Rebecca has seemingly made it her new profession to design bags. She stumbled into it just as a way to avoid Christian at the castle (to be busy elsewhere when he has his lunch breaks there). David liked it and thought it would make a nice Christmas present for Lydia. He asked how much it costs. Rebecca hadn't thought about that yet. It weirded me out because that's a direct copy of the Nina character on Goede Tijden, Slechte Tijden! She created her own label called Tasjesdief.

Ah, right. Wondered why Lydia was mentioned. Danke, Lugia. You know, when David and Rebecca were stood close together here.... ...they did have a bit of a 'couple look' about them. A Christian and Rebecca pairing just makes zero sense to me (for too many reasons to go into here), but a Rebecca and David one?...I could actually get my head around that one...

It weirded me out because that's a direct copy of the Nina character on Goede Tijden, Slechte Tijden! She created her own label called Tasjesdief. On the other hand, it could be compared in a way to ATWT, when troubled Sophie was hired by Barbara to design jewelry. At least until she went all bat-sh&t crazy and all "fatal attraction" on Paul & Meg. I will agree that David & Voldemort have an "easy" chemistry. They're better friends than they were this time last year (clearly) and there's a comfort between them. She needs someone uncomplicated, and he could do with something (her) less complicated than the Brandner baby drama. In the looks department, Sven is improving over time, depending on the camera angle. There was one spoiler pic from around the time that Olivia left the show that I nearly didn't recognize him. I wondered who the hot guy was. I was pleasantly surprised it was him.

The chemistry discussion is always fascinating. They write this weeks before it's filmed, so they can't really plan for a TV romance between actors that actually have chemistry. They analyse the characters and then just put them together on paper. By the time the Dabecca sparks are flying on camera, the real story (whatever that may be) has already moved weeks past this in the scripts.
They do screentests during the casting process. But IMO they tend to fail. LOL. You just can't guess from a few auditions and rehearsals how an actor works. I really loved Tristan the first couple of episodes, and now I think his acting is pretty weak. It comes out when he shouts. Sebastian, on the other hand, seems to be growing into it.
What bothers me about the case of Dabecca is that their chemistry became palpable over one year ago! They were both unattached and pretty minor characters, so writing something for them by around July, when GreLu were set in stone, and the producers had more than enough time to spot their chemistry, would've been a given to me.
But suddenly Rebecca was Ollian's friend. This didn't seem based on their previous scenes together, either, because you would have noticed the lack of chemistry. They don't even work on paper! It felt from the start like Feiler playing god and just writing them into the same scenes from one day to the next. I do like David with Christina, though. But how can you plan for that baby having such chemistry with everyone and acting abilities? It almost is a miracle because she's the only redeeming quality of the Brandner mess.
But overall, this just brings me back to Sarah/Leonard having no chemistry, and the couple that wasn't meant to be, Sarah/Gregor massive chemistry. I got into that story late, so maybe with the proper buildup SaLeo would've worked for me better, but it's downright impossible to build chemistry over time. You can grow more comfortable as colleagues or add more nuances to your acting (like the original LySeb), but it will never jump off the screen.

^^ ITA about the producers simply shoving characters like Rebecca and Ollian together. I just imagine the writers struggling to find something for this threesome to talk about each time they have to appear in a scene together. It's probably why Olli suddenly had a compulsive desire to shop and Christian to drop everything in order to listen to each and every one of Rebecca's problems. I also wonder if they weren't hoping that some of Ollian's popularity would rub off on Rebecca. I say that because it seems telling that she wasn't given the obviously big, possible incest front burner story rather than Helena.
I agree that chemistry is either there or it isn't but in terms of the quality of acting, I suspect the big problem is that VL goes out five days a week. The shooting schedule would be punishing and actors would be lucky to get two takes of a scene before being asked to move on. There'd also be no time for proper rehearsals or effective directing on the set, so it would be a case of getting it done rather than getting it right. I think it's why some of the Ollian kisses look slightly awkward. Having said that there is also the issue of experience which is why the older actors seem more able to nail their scenes than the younger ones.
Don't know yet if Davecca have that much needed chemistry but I like the fact that David is encouraging Rebecca to actually get off her ass and try designing again. It's far healthier than simply telling her she is his best friend and listening to her moan.

I couldn't agree more with you on this point, though for me jury's still out on sebastian, though i think that is my resistance to his SL overall. He's been annoying during this entire Patagonia arc. Re: the forcible joining of Rebecca and Chrolli, i still think that it's a somewhat unwritten rule that less experienced actors are put in as many scenes as possible with more experienced peers. Even if the DavBecca chemistry was palpable from the beginning, safer(in their eyes ) to engineer it so that they end up with stronger actors, but i think it backfires and sometimes the inexperienced actors bring a scene down...in flames. Paulie, excellent point that i often forget, they really have to churn this stuff out day after day at an extremely rapid clip and it probably takes time to get into acting well at that pace.

Argh! I have go to work, but I'll quickly say about today's ep: Ludwig cries a lot and I think Christian has a little crush on Gregor.
